Unique LA and fabric

Today I convinced him to go to Unique LA, and I think he had more fun than I did!!! I could tell by the comment "I think I will go to all the craft fairs with you from now on." I didn't take any photos, but I did observe what makes a good booth, which will help me in the future when I decide to join the craft fair community.

I seems like there are so many important things. My list of good booth ideas :

1. Good prices. For instance, deals for multiple purchases and a discount bin. Both of those things drew me in today.
2. A good personality. You need to draw people in, then get them to like you. If they like you, they will buy things.
3. A colorful, attractive booth. There can't be too many items, and there can't be to little. I think that an equal amount of decorations to items seemed to work for me. And woodland themed :) Also good furniture to display on.

Another good thing about the fair today was that it was right next to Michael Levine, one of my favorite fabric stores. The prices are higher than JoAnns, but the selection far superior. I decided on picking 5 fabrics for future blankets (something I've started, which I will show after I give the one I made to the owner).

I'm so excited to accomplish these blankets. I have materials for one other that i will post about as I finish the blanket that are also from the Kaffe Fassett line. I'm starting to feel like its one of my favorites!

Back in full force

I have had many excuses in the past for not blogging, but don't believe I haven't been hard at work. Finally, after more than a year of preparation, the wedding is over. It was beautiful and wonderful and all of our hard work paid off.

If you can believe it, my mom and I (and him too) did all of the decorations on our own. Paper flowers, napkin rings, flag banners, and all the menus, place cards, etc. The photos can only begin to show the crafting that took place.

I'm now in the process of putting all of it in my etsy store..

When you look on etsy, and on Ruffled, you can pretend I posted about all these wonderful crafts and how to make all of them :)

I secretly believed I was never stressed out, but I was, and now that I don't have a wedding deadline, I can get back to crafting. I've been busy making things for babies, for friends, and parents at my school. Now I'll have time to document that more.

I promise I'm back for good now (until we have to move, of course, but then hopefully only for a short hiatus).

Vacation

I realize that I haven't posted in a very long time, and mainly it because I've had this whole month off from work! Many projects have been brewing, and once I get back into the swing of things, I'll be back. I'm still here!!!
