Purging

One of the projects that I am trying to tackle this week, after being inspired by Parlo and Logi, is to clean out and organize my closet and dressers.  I do this occasionally  but only on a small scale.  This one will be a bit larger. I'm not sure if I'm also inspired by the fact that my husband and I are doing a food lifestyle change in hopes of fitting in all of our clothes again.

After having a baby 3 months ago, I have lost 30 pounds, but I am still 30 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight, which is still about 40 pounds over where I'd like to be.  I'm still wearing my yoga pants and maternity shirts, and I don't want to be.  Cleaning out my closet is also forcing me not to wear all the old things that I resort to wearing.

Here is the pile so far, and an example of pj's that I am getting rid of.  I wear these all the time and they are falling apart.  I have others and there is no reason to be wearing these with the waistband exposed.

We are also bidding adieu to my favorite t-shirt that I wear to bed.  Don't worry, I don't wear this is public.  I can hear my husband cheering as he reads this.  I am getting rid of it.  I've had this t-shirt for 17 years, and I have never listened to the grateful dead.  When I was 11 I liked turquoise and purple together, and my parents bought this for me at a roadside stand on a roadtrip that we went on.  The back has a scene of outer space and it says "space your face".  I'm not sure where we were, but I loved this shirt.

Hopefully this project will be over by the time the weekend is over!

  1. Thanks for linking up! Congrats on the new little one AND the weight loss, 30 lbs is nothing to bat an eye at!
